Hi, I’m Taran Spero, Transformational Coach and Founder of the Emotional Mastery Programme and Transform & Thrive Pathway — a framework over 20 years in the making.

Why I do this work

My mission is to create a global movement of emotional freedom and transformation, empowering people from all walks of life to break free from limitation, anxiety, self-doubt, and past conditioning—so they can step fully into their power, authenticity, and purpose.

In 2006, I was told I would never work again and would need to take medication for the rest of my life. I refused to accept that as truth. Instead, I began a journey of deep emotional healing, nervous system recovery, and self-discovery that changed everything. That decision led me to work within the NHS mental health system, where I witnessed firsthand how many people feel numb, anxious, overwhelmed, and trapped by emotional pain—often being told they’ll never recover.

Through that experience, I realised that what an “expert” tells you does not define your future—and that healing is always possible when you understand how your emotions, body, and mind truly work together.

Animals and nature played a profound role in my recovery. They grounded me when I felt lost and reminded me of calm, connection, and unconditional love. Because of that, I am committed to giving 25% of my annual earnings to grassroots animal and nature projects—small, heart-led initiatives around the world where people are truly protecting, restoring, and nurturing life. It’s my way of giving back to the living world that has given me so much strength.

I believe mental health exists on a spectrum, and no matter where someone begins—whether you can’t sleep properly, feel anxious all the time, can’t stop overthinking, or feel overwhelmed with life—you have the innate capacity to heal, grow, and thrive.

My work bridges science and spirituality, combining the neuroscience of emotions, emotional regulation techniques, and trauma-informed coaching with universal principles of alignment and energy. I teach practical, science-backed ways to calm the nervous system, release emotional pain, and rebuild confidence from the inside out.

Who is the Coach?

I’m Taran Spero—a professional coach with over 5,000 hours of experience, and a lived experience practitioner who spent 10+ years working inside the NHS. I developed this programme within the NHS and have refined it to bring out to the public.

How long does it take to complete?

The core programme runs over 4 weeks with 1–2 hours of content each week. It’s fully self-paced, and you’ll have lifetime access to revisit the materials any time. Ideally, you need to spend 30 mins per day on the practices.

What results can I expect?

Most people feel a shift by week 2—more awareness, less reactivity, and a clearer sense of what’s going on inside. By the end of the programme, you’ll have a full emotional toolkit and a completely new relationship with your feelings.

What kind of support do I get?

You’ll get clear guidance in each module, plus access to the Skool community space for support and connection. If you choose the coaching tier, you’ll also get direct weekly support from me in the live group sessions.

You’ll get 4 x 1 weekly modules, each with short videos, body-based practices, emotional tools, workbooks, and guided exercises—plus weekly group coaching sessions on Zoom if you join the supported tier.

What if I’ve already done therapy or other courses?

Brilliant. This works beautifully alongside therapy or previous personal development work. It’s practical and hands-on—giving you tools to apply day-to-day, not just insights to think about.

What’s the weekly coaching like?

Each week, we meet live on Zoom for a small group coaching session. You can bring questions, get direct support, or just show up and listen. You don’t need to share if you don’t want to—come as you are.

Where is it hosted?

Everything is hosted on a private, easy-to-use community platform called Skool. You’ll get immediate access to all modules, reminders via email, and everything is in one place—no tech headaches.

Do I need to be tech-savvy to join?

Not at all. Skool is simple and works on desktop or phone. You’ll get clear instructions, support if needed, and weekly emails to keep you on track.

Growing Up

I grew up facing childhood trauma, mental health challenges, and periods of deep emotional pain. There were times I felt numb, anxious, and overwhelmed with life—constantly wondering “why do I feel so sad?” or “how do I stop overthinking?”

I overcame an abusive relationship and addiction, but through it all, I kept dancing to my own drum—refusing to let others define who I was or who I could become.

The Turning Point

After ten years working as a model, I was told I would never work again and would need to take medication for the rest of my life. Hearing that was devastating—it felt like my world collapsed overnight.

But that moment of despair became the start of my emotional healing journey. I refused to accept a life defined by labels or limitation. I began studying emotional regulation techniques, exploring the mind–body connection, and learning how to calm my nervous system. That choice changed everything.

Recovery & Study

I channelled my pain into purpose. Determined to understand the science of emotions, I enrolled in a psychology degree and a counselling course, where I learned how the brain, emotions, and nervous system work together. I applied every insight to my own recovery—learning how to manage stress and anxiety, reset my nervous system, and regain confidence.

At the same time, I volunteered on a suicide crisis line, where I discovered the profound healing power of presence, empathy, and human connection.

Service & Leadership

My journey led me into a deeply fulfilling career within the NHS mental health system, where I worked with service users, staff, and leaders to create meaningful, lasting change.

I saw people who felt trapped in overthinking, angry all the time, or emotionally exhausted, being told they’d “never recover.” But I knew that wasn’t true. They weren’t broken—they just lacked the emotional mastery tools and self-regulation techniques they needed to heal.
